Aftermath

Hi there,

Just after I came back to Poland... my broadband broke. Dunno why and dunno whe I will have it back. So right now I'm using a modem to post the words you are reading. I bought it today because a week without the net is just about enough.

Anyway.. since I am no longer in Zwickau it seems there is no point keepieng this blog active, or so it seems. But I came up with an idea to still have a little more fun: In the following weeks I intend to publish "the best of" photos I took in Germany. Each two or three days I will place a set of photos on a certain subject with some comments.

oooh! sounds like fun :)

hea... oh screw it

hi there,

so eventually I went to the train station and asked for some help. The lady was very helpful and found for me yet another possibilisty which is both cheap and fast. So all in all I will arrive in Warsaw:

on the August 31st , 9:20 pm (21:20 hrs) at Warszawa Zachodnia. Train no. IC 6101 (InterCity form Wroclaw Glowny)

and this is final because I already bought the ticket!

howgh!

die Gläsender Manufaktur

A very quick note because i need to run to the train station to buy the ticket

On Tuesday Wwe went to the "Transparent Factory" where the newest luxrious model od Volkswagen is assembled - the Phaeton.
The purpose of the facotry was obvious: to bedazzle its visitors with VW slendor and create an image of a very luxurious and technically immaculate car being produced there so that the (IF they can afford it!) want to buy it the instant they finish the sightseeing tour.
But i must adminn it was a lot of fun. Especially taking a ride in the Phaeton simulator :P

What do I mean when I say the factory was luxurious? The floor in the main production hall was not concrete or PCV but a high gloss finish wooden panels, flowers standing all around the guest area (also in bathrooms) and so on and so forth...

a very nice experience
:)

tomorrow i'll write you about Mohameds farewell party. gotta go - bye

All who want to hug me or help me carry my luggage are most welcome to do so :)

Vogtland

hi there,

so here i am again. Another weekend passed into history. and we DIDN'T go to Aachen :P

1st remark: Honestly, if I never see another barbecue again it will be too soon. We had one on thursday (to Welcome the new IAESTe trainee), on Friday (this time it was us who were welcomed - to the Vogtland Weekend), and on Saturday (to end the Vgtl. Weekend)

2nd remark: luckily climbing equippment is stronger than it looks. On Saturday we went to the Kletterwald - a theme park of sorts whose theme was climbing the trees using the prepared ropes, ladders, nets and all kinds of fun stuff. It was hell of a fun and thus I can barely tape today - my arms still hurt from all the strain.

3rd remark: 180.000 m3 of brick can make an impression, especially if in a form of a 78m high bridge streching forme one end of an over 500m. long valley to the other. And the name in German is a killer: Göltzschtalbrücke :d

4th remark: definitely fed up with one person. The Star, The Princess, making everybody around notice her. Wether it's a pebble in her shoe, a broken nail or she is in need of sb. to keep a place for her at the table is just an excuse to shout at the top of her lungs so that even if you're not the one to aid her, you still know something is happening and she's in the centre of it. Argh!

5th remark: i write waaay to long sentences.

6th remark: Although almost everybody in Germany speaks English it is good to know German (duuh!). It has proven very useful in the Dragons's Cave (Drachen Höle) in Syrau when the guide tried to make the tour bilingual - she did ommit some details of the tour when she tried to translate everything on the spot. Either way it was still very interesting to see all the stalagnites, stalagmites and such. :)

P.S. the "remark posting system" as seen on manveru.blog.onet.pl ;)

the summer of bad news

that's how this summer should be called. During the last 2,5 months 5 people I really care about told me some kind of bad news about them. Another 5 are undecisive about major points in their lives.
I'm going to grab some beer...

hugs

Gucci

the weekend... stayed for two days marking its presence with lack of sleep and a hangover... and went

Friday
Of course I the praise the welcome committee - Philipp did a good job. We got some welcome presents: a bag containing some sweets and.. a condom O_o. Then followed a welcome dinner (purr-fect) and a welcome party (not my kind of parties: hip-hop so I went to sleep at 1:00)

Saturday: after something which barely resembeld sleep I got up at 6:50.
The Silver mine sight-seeing was a troture yet funny. First nobody knew why we were supposed to wear overalls (if you know Wieliczka, you'd never imagine they'd be of any use) WE were quick to find out - come of the corridors were 1.30 high and 50 cm wide :] we climbed ladders up and down, went through narrow pasages. When we went to the surface again everybody was caked with rusty mud. To my amazement I had mud even inside the overall. But it was fun.
Then followed the lunch and the sightseeing. And again we had tasks to do. My favourite was teh so called "Japaneese race". Hell knows why it was "Japaneese". The goal of it was to run from one beer bottle to another and each time drinking as much beer as possible. When one person finished, the next followed. And so untill all the bottles were empty. Need I say that my team was the best oen in this task? :D "sZmata to sZmata"

bit those above things are all irrelevant. What was really the cooles, hippes, most orgasmic thing about the weekend was the Saturday "Silver Party". It took place in the student club, but this time instead of playing some shitty mp3s from the computer we had a eral DJ (some friend of Alex). And the DJ... perfect! it's like sb. read my mind. The music was exactly what I like 4 parties: house, electro, a little bit techno.

I went wild. There was just me (or more exactly my hips) the rythm and the dancefloor. Time was irrelevant, space didn't exist, people were only then real if they danced along, everything else - obsolete. Dance nirvana with just a little help of beer ;)

Of course I talked to the DJ -I had to. He said maybe he'd like to play some tme in PL. If it was up to me I'd let him stay the night, feed him and carry on hands to the nearest turntable if he just played again :)

sunday you can figure out for yourselves.

a few more things worth mentioning:

1. Mohamed and Noemi are like children and it is not solely my opinion. On sunday they argued for an hour wether it is better o leave for Zwickau at 7 or 8pm without even knowing the train timetable. Of course it was not the time that was in question really but their ambition, but that is not actually my problem. I'm just sorry I had to be somehow a part of it.

2. Agata whoi is an IAeSTE trainee in Freiberg was the best hostess one could imagine. I really enjoyed staying at her place for the night. So did the other 5 people who came for the Freiberg weekend.

3. Zel once told me that house music is like a techno with gucci label on it. I guess i've got expensive taste

ouch...

...my head!

yesterdays BBQ was better that we could have expected, although the invited ones who helped us with the door didn't show up.
their loss :P

there were tons of sausages and hectoliters of wine %)

this should be enough for you to know how much fun I've had :D

and I am to tiered to write more ;)

gotta go - Freiberg Underground Party, ya know
